Prague

Prague is a 'city of memory' and everywhere its buildings reflect a rich, eventful history from Romanesque art to the Baroque, testimony to the influence of the Habsburg rulers of Bohemia. Great poets and writers have lived here from Chateaubriand to Franz Kafka and Milan Kundera. The fabric of Prague is woven with history and legend while monuments and styles juxtapose dazzling the visitor with their beauty.

We begin our walk in Mala Strana, on the left bank of the river Vltava, where we will cross the Charles Bridge, one of the most beautiful bridges in Europe. From there, we will reach Karlova Street and then the charming Bethlehem Square away from the crowds of visitors.
This walk ends in Old Town Square, where the second Stare Mesto audioguided tour starts.

This walk through the very heart of the Old Town is one of the Great Classic Walks.
It begins on Old Town Square which has witnessed 10 centuries of Prague’s history. It’s there that we’ll discover amongst other things the famous astronomical clock in the Town Hall belfry. We’ll then head off to the Carolinum, Prague’s ancient university - followed by the Mozart Theatre, before walking up the Baroque styled Celetna Street, to end our tour at the edge of Stare Mesto, beside the Powder Tower and the Municipal House.

A detailed look at the historic at Old Town Square in the Stare Mesto of Prague, the city of 100 spires. Play this noambit audio guide during your visit to Old Town Square or play it at home, on the plane or in the car in preparation for your visit.
